About Me
I live right outside of Hickory, in the city of Newton. My husband and I have 5 children, 2 dogs and 5 chickens. In my free time, I love to hike in the mountains, listen to live music, host get-togethers, bake and enjoy stand-up comedy.
Experiencing the five very different births of my own children (including teen pregnancy), I developed a passion for the labor process. I witnessed firsthand how important it is to be informed and to have unbiased and individualized support through childbirth. This is why I choose to be a labor doula.
Just as every family is different, so is every birth! I provide personalized physical and emotional support as well as unbiased evidence-based information. It is my goal to equip parents so that they feel confident in making informed decisions during pregnancy, labor and birth.
